What is IPL?
IPL (Intense pulsed light) – is a non-invasive light-based technology used to remove unwanted hair and improve many skin conditions. Such conditions as age spots, acne, sun spots, freckles, superficial capillaries and other discolouration of the skin can be eliminated using this technology. IPL is also incredibly effective for those of us who suffer from facial redness (rosacea) and can even stimulate fibroblast causing increased collagen production in your skin for a more natural, lively, healthier looking you!
IPL Hair Removal
IPL hair removal treatments are easy, painless and quick solution to unwanted hair and can be successfully used on the body or the face. Usually a course of 6 – 8 treatments is required to achieve optimal result, but once you’ve completed your treatment cycle, you can look forward to a lifetime of smooth skin with only the occasional maintenance treatment. IPL Acne
This unique treatment is designed to specifically slow the overall production of oil that leads to acne, thus dramatically reducing the chance of spots and minimising the appearance of pores in general. With just a few sessions, IPL treatments can clear up even the most extreme cases of facial acne and/or acne scarring. Results will vary, but most people will see a significant improvement in skin condition. For best results, begin twice weekly for the first 2-4 weeks, then weekly maintenance as required.

Contraindications:
- Recent sunburn
- Unprotected sun exposure or solarium use 4 weeks prior to treatment
- Pregnancy
- History of seizures
- Severe dermatitis or eczema (within the treatment area)
- Active infections
- Roaccutane use in the last 6 months
- Herpes 1 or 2 (within the treatment area)
- Very dark skin
- Removing hair by the root e.g. waxing or tweezing 4 weeks prior to treatment (hair removal only)
- Photo sensitising medications are best avoided
Please note: Clients that are having body treatments must have a shower at least one hour prior to the appointment. If your are having IPL/laser treatments, please also shower and shave the areas that will be treated.
